2017 'How to...' Competent Critical Appraisal 

Skills around competent critical appraisal are core to the role of the MSL. Over the past few years we have run a number of successful courses on this subject, all of which have received great feedback from those attending. These excellent value for money workshops are now part of the package associated with being a member of the MSLA.

2017 MSLA 'How To...' Statistics for MSLs

This educational workshop will show participants how to interpret results from randomised clinical trials and assume that participants will have a basic understanding of statistics.

Professor Allan Hackshaw will lead the training session.  He is Professor of Epidemiology & Medical Statistics at University College London, and Deputy Director of the Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre, one of the largest cancer trials units in the UK.

Wednesday 12th July: A workshop for Aspiring MSLs who ARE CURRENTLY WORKING IN the Pharma / Biotech sectors and have an interest in becoming a MSL.

Attendees will leave the workshop with an understanding of the role & value of the MSL / medical team within the organisation, promotional vs. non-promotional activities & metrics, compliant cross -functional working, impactful scientific engagement & development planning.

 2017 - MSLA Annual Conference Report

On Thursday 18th March 2017, we hosted our Annual Conference at a new and improved venue of the Birmingham Hilton Metropole. You can see pictures from this event here.

The first thing to say is that this was a record breaking conference and for the first time was preceded by the MSLA Networking Event. The conference attracted a record number of delegates, 137 in total (excluding our expert panel of speakers), which was an incredible example of the growing strength and depth of MSLA awareness, Click here to continue


 2017 MSLA Annual Conference

2016 MSLA Annual Conference MSL Code 'Hot topics' session additional materials

As MSLA members and especially for those of you that attended the 2016 MSLA Annual Conference in March, you will remember the MSL Code 'Hot Topics' session led by Dr Rina Newton. The audience feedback from the session was excellent. During the session Dr Newton promised to follow-up with additional points to consider for each of the 3 scenarios.
