My Story
Sarah is a medic by background, qualifying from Bristol and working in the southwest before moving into the pharmaceutical industry in 2008. Since then, Sarah has held various medical roles in the UK and overseas for various large pharmaceutical companies such as Astra Zeneca, BMS and Sanofi. Sarah has worked in medical information, medical affairs, Global content, Congress strategy and within the field. Laterally as the UK MSL she developed strong partnerships with thought leaders, provided evidence-based communication and education to HCPs and scientific support and training to the marketing teams and sales force.
Reason for MSLA involvement:
Having worked in various head office roles and then transitioning into the MSL role I am acutely aware of the challenges and opportunities the field role has and want to support others to feel empowered to make the same move. Also having moved from the NHS I want to assist in raising awareness and understanding of the MSL role more widely to those unsure about roles within the pharmaceutical industry that might be the right fit. For established MSLs to ensure longevity and jobs satisfaction and to build on their current skills and expertise and broaden their portfolio of offerings.
